MULTI-VARIATE ANALYSIS
Special multivariate analyses can add value to the meaning and interpretation of Market Research data and will be included in the final report if appropriate. Such techniques include:
- Perceptual Mapping
- Correlation Analysis
- Regression Analysis
- Conjoint Analysis
- Cluster Analysis
- Factor Analysis
- CHAID
These techniques evaluate how data interact with each other and how each dataset impacts on other datasets within the survey.
CASE STUDIES
CLIENT
Liverpool Primary Care Trust
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The client had developed a number of key attributes and trade-offs in relation to how Liverpool residents exercise their choice of health care provider to enable the formulation, implementation and evaluation of their outside-of-hospitals strategy.
METHODOLOGY
600 users of health services were shown a number of service permutations and were asked to sort and rank each of them from most preferred to least preferred option. A statistical technique called Conjoint Analysis was applied to ascertain which service permutation derived the highest levels of utility.
OUTCOME
Establishing the trade-off of residents being prepared to travel further to access a wider range of services has led to the introduction of Neighbourhood Health and Treatment Centres across the City of Liverpool.
